Embracing a New Vision for Development at the Museum

It was a great honour for me to join the Museum in July 2019. Over the course of my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with generous donors, committed partners, and visionary leaders who support a wide range of worthwhile causes. I’ve also witnessed incredible engagement, generosity and vision from people who, like you, are deeply committed to making the world a better place.

When a student makes a discovery about Canada’s history … when a recent immigrant learns more about his or her new country … when a retiree volunteers as a museum tour guide … the future becomes brighter for us all.

Our museums will reveal their true potential when you, our donors and partners, are engaged in a way that allows you to give back with your talent, your knowledge, your advice, your wisdom — and your heart. Here are a few ways to do just that:

Engage with us. Attend our events, read our publications, and follow us on social media. Please “talk us up” in your networks and let others know how you feel about the Museum.

Advise us. Share your ideas, opinions, and suggestions with us. The Museum thrives by harnessing your insights, energy, and passion.

Invest in us. Every donation reflects trust in the Museum and helps us continue to preserve and promote Canada’s history for the benefit of present and future generations. Our success can be your success.

We want to have engaging conversations with you to discover what you care about and what impact you want to make. By working together, we can forge an even stronger and more vibrant Museum.

As the Museum’s new Vice President of Development, I know there are partners and investors who share our vision. If together we reach out and touch the lives of people who have not been traditionally welcomed, it’s a win-win-win. It helps our museums, it helps our communities, and it helps our country.
